Synopsis

Nowadays, the mafia world is ruled by Italy's strongest family, the Vongola. Vongola's current head, ninth in the row, is an old man ready for retirement. But before he can hand down his position, he needs help from a professional Hitman to prepare the next generation Boss for ruling over Vongola and the mafia world itself. Sawada Tsunayoshi is just your ordinary teenage boy who attends Junior High and sucks at it. He is unpopular, has no friends, and is desperately in love with a girl from his class. But his life takes an extraordinary turn when Tsunayoshi meets Reborn, an infamous hitman, who the ninth boss of Vongola has sent to train Tsunayoshi for his upcoming title.

One by one, students at Namimori High are being targeted by an unknown gang. It seems that some of those targets are some of Tsuna's friends, and he has to stop the unknown gang before they attack his friends.

With Tsuna running after Futa, the others are left to deal with the one claiming to be Mukuro himself. He proves to be too much for them in the state they are in, so all hope lies with Tsuna coming back in time. However, even if he does, there is only one Dying Will Bullet left.

The Counterattack

With the reveal that their foe wasn't the real Mukuro, everyone breaks into the Kokuyo Middle School building to face the true mastermind. With no Dying Will, Gokudera having to fend off both Chikusa and Ken, and everyone else unconscious, all hope looks lost, but one of Mukuro's captives my prove to be the ace in the hole.

I Want to Win! The Awakening Time

Even after his apparent death, Mukuro still isn't finished as he possesses the bodies of everyone his hit with his trident. There seems to be no way for Tsuna to win with everyone under Mukuro's control and no Dying Will, when Reborn's pet Leon gives off a strange glow.

The End and From Now on...

With the new Rebuke Bullet, Tsuna has reached a new level of power, but it still may not be possible to defeat Mukuro, who still has not revealed his strongest form.

Eat Sushi to Celebrate Promotion

After the defeat of Mukuro, life goes on normally and Tsuna and his friends all move up a grade at school. However, none of them are in the same class, so Reborn offers them a challenge to catch him, with the prize being a change of the roster. Later, they celebrate at a sushi restaurant owned by Yamamoto's father only to find they do not have enough money to pay for their food and have to work off their debt.

It's a Lie! We killed?

A burglar comes into Tsuna's room at night, with Tsuna fainting from fear, only to wake up in the morning to find him dead. Everyone must find a way to hide the body or else go to prison.

Broccoli's Sweetheart?

Kyoko's friend Hana is infatuated with Future Lambo and blackmails Tsuna into letting her meet him by threatening to tell Kyoko that Haru is his girlfriend. When Lambo uses the Ten-Year Bazooka, however, something malfunctions and creates a teen Lambo with young Lambo's mind, and to make matters worse, this Lambo escapes from the house.

Hide and Seek on a Cruise Ship

Reborn invites Tsuna and his mom to a vacation resort, but they first have to ride on a cruise ship to get there. Once on the ship, Tsuna spots some of his friends, who all boarded without tickets, and he now has to keep them from being caught, but first, he has to catch them.

Welcoming at Mafia Land

At Mafia Island, Tsuna fails to prove his identity as the Vongola Family's 10th boss, and is transported to the back of the island where he is given a new chance to prove himself. There, he meets another Arcobaleno, Colonello. Colonello and Reborn put Tsuna through tough training. Meanwhile, another Arcobaleno invades the island with an army.

A Shark in the Public Pool

Tsuna has to swim 15m in school, but being unable to swim, he is trained by Yamamoto, Gokudera and Haru in the public pool. Everyone has his own method, and they decide to compete to see who can get Tsuna to swim the furthest. Reborn interferes this time with a Vongola dolphin that has a dangerous complexion.

Summer Vacation Ruined by Loans?

To pay off the damage caused in the previous episode, Tsuna works as a lifeguard with Ryohei, only for them and the other boys to be challenged to a swimming race by older lifeguards. Later, Tsuna and his friends run a stand during a summer festival to continue to pay off their debt, only to have run ins with Hibari, and a group of thieves.

The Varia Comes!

Nana tells Tsuna that his father is coming home, and the announcement leaves him with mixed emotions, since he hasn’t seen him for two years. To cheer him up, Gokudera and Yamamoto suggest that they skip their remedial session and hang out in town. But suddenly, a boy covered with injuries falls from the sky. Furthermore, that boy has a deathperation flame on his head! A man who was chasing the boy begins fighting without regard for his surroundings, forcing Tsuna into combat…

The 7 Vongola Rings

Tsuna is caught up in a battle between Basil, a boy who apparently has ties to the Vongola, and a mysterious man named Squalo. Gokudera and Yamamoto are no match for Squalo`s strength, and even Tsuna has trouble fighting him in deathperation mode. Fortunately Dino appears, forcing Squalo to withdraw, but not before stealing the rings Basil was trying to give Tsuna. Confused, Tsuna demands an explanation, and Reborn and Dino tell him the unbelievable truth...

Vongola rings are important items handed down from generation to generation by the seven core members of the Vongola Family, with the Sky Ring proof that one is the rightful Vongola heir. Now Tsuna and his friends must battle Squalo and the Varia to earn the rings. Ryohei receives the Sun Ring, and Colonnello shows up to be his trainer. Meanwhile, Yamamoto learns Shigure Soen Ryu stance technique from his father Tsuyoshi, while Ryohei continues to train with Colonnello.

Unexpectedly, Reborn tells Tsuna to take a break from their training sessions. However, when Tsuna goes out to enjoy his free time, strange things happen wherever he goes. The Unseen Enemy's Motive

Reborn calls over Giannini, a famed weapon tuner from Italy, to help prepare Tsuna for the fight against the Varia, but the weapons Giannini modifies are surprisingly useless. On top of that, when Gokudera visits to modify his dynamite, he becomes a child because of a badly modified Ten-Year Bazooka! Gokudera doesn`t realize that he`s become smaller, driving Tsuna crazy, and then Gokudera suddenly starts saying that there are suspicious people in places where no one can be seen…

Fight for the Ring Begins!

Tsuna and the others continue training but the Varia`s leader, Xanxus, realizes that the rings that Squalo had stolen were fakes a lot sooner than Reborn and the others had expected. The Varia have finally come to Japan. Upon receiving this information Iemitsu tells Tsuna to protect the Lightning Guardian, whose identity turns out to be a surprise. Meanwhile, the Leviathan Lightning Strike Squad, led by Leviathan, the Varia`s Guardian of the Lightning Ring, is trying to get their hands on the other half of his Lightning Ring.

Feelings of the Protector

The battle for the Vongola rings to decide who is the true Vongola heir has begun with a bang! Tsuna cannot hide his fear of Xanxus’s formidable power. Gokudera’s and Yamamoto`s smiles stop him from running away and his hands from shaking. After talking with Ryohei, Tsuna learns Ryohei`s determination to fight and his feelings for Kyoko. In the end, he doesn`t quit and heads to Namimori Middle School, where the battle will be held. The first battle match-up is announced. It will be between the Sun Guardians—a martial arts battle between Ryohei and Lussuria! The special nature of the battlefield becomes a factor, and Lussuria dominates the battle…

The Power to Rebound Adversity

Ryohei is in danger. He has injured his left hand and is dehydrated because of the heat from the lights. He receives permission from Colonnello to use his Maximum Cannon, a right-fisted recovery technique that he had been saving for when he`s at an extreme disadvantage. But his techniques are blocked by Lussuria`s metal knee. Ryohei receives a brutal injury to his right arm and collapses. Kyoko`s tears and the promise that he made to her when they were little get him back on his feet. “I won`t lose,” he says. His feelings for his younger sister complete his Maximum Cannon. Light shines from his right fist, and the light breaks Lussuria`s perfect defense!

Thunder Strike of 20 Years Later

The second battle is between the Lightning Guardians. It is being held in the rain on a special field that spreads the lightning catches across the ground. Tsuna is worried about Lambo, his Lightning Guardian. He tries to get him to concede, but Lambo thinks it`s a game and steps onto the field. As soon as Lambo`s battle with Levi begins, lightning strikes the field and Lambo is struck with electricity, just as Tsuna was worried would happen. The battle appears as if it has already been decided. But Lambo`s special body structure prevents him from taking serious damage from the lightning.

The Stolen Sky Ring

Lambo looks like he`s going to win the Lightning Guardian battle when he turns into his Twenty-years later form, but just before he can, the effect of the Ten-Year Bazooka runs out. Lambo is in danger when he turns back into his original form. Tsuna steps in to save Lambo, but he’s disqualified for interfering. Both the lightning and sky rings are taken away. Tsuna is regretful, but Reborn acknowledges that he took action to save a friend. Tsuna wants to become stronger so his friends don`t get hurt. Yamamoto smiles at him for his determination, but Gokudera looks gloomy.

Storm Brewed by Angry Waves

The third battle between Storm Guardians Gokudera and Belphagor is a timed death match. The battle takes place on the third floor of the school. There are Hurricane Turbines that blow gusts of wind around. Since both guardians use projectiles, it looks as if the wind will be their greatest obstacle. But Belphagor uses the wind and showers Gokudera with endless attacks. As his nickname, Prince the Ripper, suggests, Belphagor can use knives anyway he likes. On the other hand, Gokudera cannot attack well with his dynamite. But he notices how Belphagor`s knives come at him from places that Belphagor cannot see him from. He retaliates with his new technique!

Reason to Fight

Gokudera is able to damage Belphagor with his Rocket Bombs, his newly created technique. But when Belphagor sees his own blood, his abnormal disposition shows itself and he becomes excited and shows his true skills. Belphagor`s fighting techniques and tricks make him worthy of being called a genius. Gokudera is slowly cornered. But before he is, he sees through Belphagor`s plan and makes a counterstrike! Belphagor collapses. If Gokudera can get Belphagor`s ring, he`ll win, but he has trouble doing so. Belphagor is moving unconsciously due to his persistence and willpower…

The Strongest Invincible School

The next battle is between the Rain Guardians. For Yamamoto, it’s a grudge match against Squalo, whom he has lost to before. Hibari barges in, furious that the school has been damaged, but Reborn`s smooth talking manages to prevent anything from happening and keeps him from getting disqualified. Dino shows up in place of Hibari and tells Yamamoto that Squalo was a Varia boss candidate and that he is a master swordsman who has crushed and absorbed many sword styles. He warns him that he cannot win unless he transcends his style. But Yamamoto`s father, tells him that Shigure Soen Ryu is invincible…

Namegata's Game

Yamamoto decides to fight using the Shigure Kintoki, the sword handed to him by his father that can only used with Shigure Soen Ryu forms. With no time left, the Rain Guardian battle begins with everyone looking on! It is difficult to get good footing in Aquarion, the battlefield, because of the ever-falling water. Tsuna and his friends are relieved that Yamamoto is able to stave off Squalo`s fierce attacks. But Dino, an acquaintance of Squalo`s, is still worried. Dino`s hunch is correct when Squalo sees through Yamamoto`s attack and even breaks through Yamamoto`s defensive techniques.

Requiem of the Rain

Shigure Soen Ryu was a style that Squalo had crushed before?! Tsuna and his friends are shocked, but Yamamoto trusts his father`s words and continues to fight with Shigure Soen Ryu. Squalo`s retaliation is relentless, and Yamamoto is seriously injured by Squalo`s Zanna di Squalo and collapses. He notices that the Shigure Soen Ryu Form Eight that he learned was different from the one he had learned from his father, and realizes the truth about Shigure Soen Ryu and why it`s flawless and invincible. He points his sword at Squalo once more!

Guardian of the Mist is Coming?!

The identity of Tsuna`s Mist Guardian still has not been revealed. As night approaches, Tsuna is concerned about the Mist battle and cannot concentrate on his training. He meets some unexpected people at the sweets shop near his training ground. Meanwhile, Reborn and Colonnello suspect that Mammon, the Varia`s Mist Guardian, is an Arcobaleno. Mammon is also curious as to the identity of his opponent. His many attempts to find out have been blocked. Who is Tsuna`s Mist Guardian? Night falls and he remains unknown… Meanwhile in Italy, Iemitsu has managed to contact Ninth Generation.

Illusion VS Illusion

Tsuna`s Mist Guardian finally shows herself. It is a girl that no one has ever seen before. Judging from her attire, the weapon she holds, and the fact that Ken and Chikusa are with her, Gokudera suspects that she is possessed by Mukuro. But Tsuna senses that she has free will and acknowledges her as his Mist Guardian as she wishes. The girl calls herself Chrome Dokuro. She uses Mukuro`s trident and Six Realm fighting abilities to fight evenly against Mammon in an illusion battle. But Mammon has a trick up his sleeve--!

The Truth of the Mist

“I have returned from the depths of the Paths of Rebirth.” Mukuro Rokudo appears from the mist that Chrome surrounded herself with! Mammon reveals that the real Mukuro failed to escape from Vindice Penitentiary, but the Mukuro before him doesn`t appear to be a fake. The techniques and abilities that Mukuro uses are not superficial. Mammon releases his power to become Viper. Viper and Mukuro create an incredible illusion that makes those who are watching feel sick. Tsuna synchs with Mukuro`s memories and learns the truth about his situation…

A Touch of Uneasiness

It is the morning of the final Guardian battle, the Cloud Battle. Tsuna has had a bad dream and is worried about Hibari. Even though he trusts in Hibari`s strength, he cannot calm down. He goes to Dino to find out how he`s doing. Tsuna is relieved when he sees Dino smile as he talks about Hibari and sees Gokudera and the others, who were also concerned, resting peacefully. But with a stern expression, Reborn urges him to prepare for the unexpected. Meanwhile, in Italy, Oregano and the others find an old army weapon lab where a weapon that resembles Gola Moska was being developed.

The Guardian of Cloud's Rampage

The Cloud Ring battle is settled in an instant. Everyone is astonished. Hibari determines that Xanxus is the cause of the battle and the strongest in the area, so he challenges him to a battle. Xanxus takes some mysterious actions in response to Hibari`s challenge. Even though Xanxus has lost, he has a delighted smile on his face. Meanwhile, Tsuna has completed his technique, the Deathperate Zero Point Breakthrough. Tsuna and the others are surprised at the technique that the First Generation Vongola is said to have used. They immediately rush to Namimori Middle School, where the battle for the rings is taking place--!

Resolution

Gola Moska has gone out of control. Tsuna splits him in two. It looks as if things have come to an end, but Tsuna and Reborn are at a loss for words when Xanxus’ plan is revealed. The cruel reality and the trap set almost wipes out the warmth that existed. But Tsuna tells Xanxus, “I won`t let you succeed Vongola IX!” Tsuna`s determination and Xanxus’ anger clash. The Cervello take charge and make the Sky Ring battle, the final battle in the fight for the Vongola Rings.

Gokudera's Story

Lambo, who has been sleeping since the Lightning Ring battle, temporarily regains consciousness. In the evening, Gokudera visits the hospital to celebrate and pay Lambo a visit. He tells Lambo about how things suddenly began and about everyone`s rough days of training and fighting. Even though Lambo doesn`t realize it, he is deeply involved with the battle for the Vongola rings. The Sky battle between Xanxus and Tsuna is about to begin…

The Battle of the Sky, Begins!

It is the day of the final battle for the rings…The day when Tsuna and Xanxus square off against each other. Tsuna goes to visit Lambo. There, Reborn gives him a mafia suit modeled based on the Namimori Middle School uniform made specially by Leon. Tsuna puts on the suit and heads to Namimori Middle School, where the Sky Ring battle is being held. His Guardians gather there one-by-one. Tsuna is surprised that Hibari is there but it seems that the Cervello have forced everyone to assemble. Tsuna is angered that they take Lambo from the hospital. Under the Cervello`s rules for the Sky battle, the six rings and the lives of the Guardians are at stake.

Flame of Wrath

All of the Guardians are injected with a poison known as Death Heater. The wristbands containing the poison will cause death within 30 minutes unless the victim is given an antidote. The Sky battle becomes a fight for the lives of the Guardians. There is fierce combat right from the start. Xanxus releases his Flame of Fury which has incredible destructive power. Tsuna fights back with his power to control the flames that he gained during his training. Tsuna breaks through Xanxus’ Flame of Fury but Xanxus reveals the pair of guns he has been hiding! Meanwhile in Italy, Iemitsu is still unable to escape from the Vongola`s main headquarters. He remembers the day that he met Vongola IX…

Relieving Everyone

The power of Xanxus’ guns is greater than that of his Flame of Fury and Tsuna begins to have problems fighting him. Furthermore, Xanxus has revived the Varia`s Guardians. But when Belphagor makes his move, Hibari appears before him! Hibari has revived himself. “Clouds can give rise to storms,” Reborn says. As he says, Hibari revives Gokudera. Gokudera confronts Levi to save Lambo. Their help is reassuring, and Tsuna can finally focus on his fight with Xanxus. But Xanxus’ attacks corner begin to Tsuna.

Dying Will Zero Point Breakthrough

Xanxus’ attacks are relentless. Tsuna has taken quite a bit of damage and is in danger. He tries the technique he has been training to learn, the Deathperate Zero Point Breakthrough. Tsuna begins concentrating to activate his technique. His flame begins flickering peculiarly as if it is knocking. Xanxus isn`t supposed to know about the Deathperate Zero Point Breakthrough, but upon seeing this, the look on his face changes. Xanxus frantically tries to stop him. Tsuna`s concentration is disrupted and he cannot get his technique to activate. Xanxus hits him with his Scoppio D`Ira! Meanwhile, Dino has not shown up at the Sky battle and is taking different measures to save Tsuna…

Zero Point Breakthrough: Revised

It looks as if Tsuna has completed his Deathperate Zero Point Breakthrough and defeated Xanxus. “That`s not the Deathperate Zero Point Breakthrough,” Xanxus says. Everyone is shocked at Xanxus words, which seem to suggest that he`s seen the Deathperate Zero Point Breakthrough before. Reborn explains that the Deathperate Zero Point Breakthrough isn`t a technique, but a state of being of sorts. Tsuna has reached that state of being and has acquired a technique that is different from the one that the First Vongola created. Tsuna determines that it will be difficult to defeat Xanxus with a technique that absorbs his opponent`s power. He tries to use his Zero Point Breakthrough Revised, the technique he discovered with his super intuition, but…

Strategy

Gokudera and Yamamoto step into the gym to save Chrome, but Belphagor and Mammon have already captured her They approach Gokudera with the proposition to trade Chrome for the rings. Gokudera tries to refuse, but Yamamoto has a plan and gives in to Mammon`s demands. Yamamoto`s quick wits seem to turn the situation around… Meanwhile, Xanxus’ anger grows. The fire he produces has immeasurable power. Tsuna`s technique is not enough to absorb it. Xanxus discards his guns and attacks head on. In response, Tsuna tries to take him on with his flames, but…

Freezing Flame

Xanxus’ hands are frozen by Tsuna`s Deathperate Zero Point Breakthrough: First Edition, a technique that seals away deathperation flames. Xanxus is furious that Tsuna can use the technique that the First Vongola boss used, but Tsuna calmly points out that Vongola IX hit him with the same technique. Xanxus doesn`t give up. Tsuna asks him why he`s mad, but Xanxus doesn`t give him an answer. What happened in the Cradle Incident eight years ago? The battle is coming to a conclusion without the truth coming to light!

The Vongola rings have a hidden power… Just as Mammon says, when the seven rings are gathered, a flame appears from the rings that can melt the ice of the Zero Point Breakthrough. The ring grants great power to the proper heir, the Blood of the Vongola. The flames free Xanxus, and Xanxus gets ahold of the ring. Tsuna has used up his energy in the battle and is unable to stop him. Gokudera and the others rush over, but they are too late. The rings that Xanxus wears begin to shine and fill with power!

Conclusion!

After a fierce battle, the Sky battle is settled, and the battle for the rings comes to an end. Xanxus is rejected by the ring and is disqualified. The successors of the Vongola Rings are Tsuna and his six Guardians. Xanxus yells out of rage. The Cervello talk to him as if they have known everything all along. In the end, they never reveal who they are. They declare that the battle has ended. Tsuna finally looks relieved. Tsuna has nothing more to worry about, so he passes out. The next day, Tsuna wakes up to find Reborn, who smiles and tells him that they`re having a party.

The Shivering Ghost

The battle for the rings has ended and Tsuna is enjoying the peace. Reborn suggests that they have an out-of-season "test of courage." Tsuna doesn`t like the idea at first, but he learns that Kyoko is participating and becomes eager to pair up with her. But when he gets to the graveyard, all the participants, besides him and Lambo, are doing the scaring. Tsuna is disappointed, but doesn`t want to look like a coward in front of Kyoko. He decides to go into the creepy graveyard with Lambo. The two get separated, and when they meet again, Lambo has switched places with Adult Lambo. But for some reason, there`s something a little different about Adult Lambo…

Vongola style Parent's Day

It`s Open House! Tsuna is poor at studying, and for him it’s just a day of terrible experiences. He’s hit with a question he doesn`t know the answer to and opens his mouth to give a random answer, but his tutor, Reborn, won`t allow that to happen. Reborn is watching from behind the parents to see that Tsuna gets the answer right. But then Lambo and the others come barging in! Lal Mirch`s test has begun. She explains to Tsuna and the others about the boxes and the rings, the waves, and other things that are important to learn for fighting in the future. They begin practice and are given the task of lighting a flame on their rings. Gokudera and Yamamoto are immediately able to accomplish it, but Tsuna is unable to do it no matter how many times he tries. Tsuna wonders if he doesn`t have enough determination to light a fire on his ring. Reborn`s words draw out his true feelings and the ring responds… Meanwhile, in Italy, Byakuran says something astounding.

Kyoko has gone outside of the base She apparently did it out of concern for Ryohei`s safety, but there are many from Millefiore family wandering about. The group must find Kyoko as quickly as possible. Tsuna regrets not noticing Kyoko`s anxiety. At the same time, Hi-bird delivers a rescue signal. Tsuna is forced to decide how to handle both incidents. Tsuna splits himself, along with Gokudera, Yamamoto, and Lal into two teams and tries to solve both problems at the same time. But…

Gokudera turns down Yamamoto and tries to fight Gamma by himself. Yamamoto is annoyed and decides to watch, but Gamma`s power is much greater than the two had anticipated and Gokudera immediately gets cornered. Kyoko is safely back, and Tsuna begins training towards the goal based on the information that Bianchi and Futa bring back. As he does, I-Pin collapses with a fever. Kyoko and Haru find her. Tsuna takes him on with his more powerful X Gloves, but he is still unable to use its power well, and Hibari goes unchallenged. Tsuna is in danger. As a last resort, he does something unexpected--! After an explanation of the mystery of the boxes and theories concerning them, Tsuna, Yamamoto, and Gokudera`s training becomes standardized. The Entrusted Decision

Irie is panicking. He cannot find the Vongola`s hideout. He gets information that Glo is seriously injured. A message from Byakuran conveniently tells him where Glo was defeated, and reveals that Byakuran was not the one who ordered Glo to go to Kokuyo Land. Irie is suspicious of Glo, who is supposed to be standing by. He goes to Glo to find out from whom Glo got his information and what happened at Kokuyo Land… Meanwhile, a certain man walks into the Vongola hideout!

Tsuna has to decide on whether he wants to participate in a large-scale plan that future Ryohei has planned. He is given a one-day reprieve. The incident that Lambo caused comes to an end, and Tsuna and the others begin their training again. Lal suddenly orders Tsuna to watch everyone else`s training. Gokudera boasts that he`s close to completing his SISTEMA C.A.I., but the problem is that a mysterious kitten suddenly appears. The kitten doesn`t take to Gokudera at all and runs away from him. A chase around the hideout begins. Gokudera tries desperately to catch up. The many things that have happened until now fly through his head… But the day of their plan is drawing near and there`s no time to be getting sentimental. Gokudera becomes determined once again to defeat Shoichi Irie, and chases after the kitten once more.

The lines are connected once again and Byakuran is finally able to get through. Irie was worried and is kind of disgusted by Byakuran`s aloofness. Irie asks Byakuran about the situation. Byakuran is grinning and stuffing his mouth with marshmallows. Despite his relaxed attitude, the situation is very tense. Information about the Millefiore`s Japanese hideout has leaked to the Vongola. Upon hearing this, Irie takes out his Mare Ring and says that he`ll take care of it personally. His expression becomes cold and completely different from his usual unreliable attitude…

Last Ordeal

Yamamoto has finally reached the next stage in his training. Reborn tells him that he cannot teach him any more advanced sword techniques. Instead, he takes out a DVD box. When he plays the DVD, a familiar voice yells out, “Hey!” The DVD is titled, “The Path to Being the Emperor of Swords.” It is a record of the hundred battles that Squalo has been in to show to Yamamoto in the future. Irie has finally given the order to infiltrate the Vongola hideout! Meanwhile, Tsuna and the others are helping to put away the food. Kyoko and the rest urge Tsuna, Gokudera, and Yamamoto to go to bed ahead of them. In the darkness, the Millefiore`s troops are slowly increasing their numbers, and closing in on the Vongola hideout. Tsuna and the others are awoken by a strange sound that echoes throughout the hideout…

The Millefiore`s troops appear to have successfully broken into the Vongola hideout. But a giant trap is waiting for them along with Hibari, who is waiting with Tonfa surrounded with deathperation flames. Thinking that he cannot take on all those people by himself, Tsuna tries to help him. But Reborn stops him and tells him that if he wants to repay Hibari for his actions, then he has to make their raid a success. They hurry to the enemy`s hideout and trust in Hibari`s strength…

The First Obstacle...

Tsuna and the others manage to break into Merone Base. They slip past countless sensors, and come across a stupid-looking man. The man thinks that Tsuna and the others are average citizens who have wandered in. But despite that, he points his cannon-like weapon at them anyway! The man becomes angered that his attack is easily dodged, and attacks with a giant spear he takes out from his box. The man is the Dendro Chirum. He is nicknamed "All`attacco" which means he`s the top lance. His thrust is the strongest among the Millefiore lancers.

The Fateful Magician

Tsuna is injured in his battle with Dendro Chilum. Ryohei heals his wound by burning it with his sun-class deathperation flames. One of the Sun`s attributes is known as “active factor.” Ryohei uses this to speed the natural healing process by several hundreds times. Meanwhile, Gamma, who had lost his previous battle, is spending his days in the corner of the hideout lost in liquor. The Phantom Knight visits him. What do the two talk about in the unfriendly atmosphere--? Meanwhile, as Tsuna and his friends make their way towards Irie, a boy dressed like a magician blocks their way.

Inside a water duct, Tsuna is hit by an attack from a Strau Moska, controlled by Spanner, and sinks into the water. He desperately fights in the water, but he cannot breathe. He manages to get out of the water and freeze the Strau Moska using his Deathperation Point Zero Breakthrough: First Edition. But the Strau Moska shoot fire from their abdomen, break out of the ice, and attack Tsuna! Upon seeing this, Tsuna says that he`s been waiting for this, and uses his Deathperation Point Zero Revised. Meanwhile, Spanner is beginning to take an interest in Tsuna`s techniques rather than being concerned with winning the battle…

A Man's Box Weapon

The Vongola hideout and Tsuna have lost contact with each other. Futa and the others are concerned for Tsuna`s safety, but they cannot help him from the hideout. Gokudera and Ryohei are separated from Yamamoto and Lal Mirch by Irie. They are blocked off by a wall and Yamamoto and Lal cannot save them. Gokudera is confused and irritated, but the door behind them soon opens automatically. Gokudera and Ryohei look at each other and wonder if it`s a trap. Gokudera sends his box weapon Uri to go and scout things out, but Uri doesn`t listen to him at all. Having no choice, the two of them cautiously walk out. They hear a creepy laugh from down the passage way. Waiting for them is another of the Millefiore`s assassins--!

Boomerang's Trap

Gokudera and Ryohei are separated from Yamamoto and Lal Mirch. Lal has passed out from her battle with Ginger and isn`t regaining consciousness. Yamamoto roams through the base carrying Lal. He wanders into a cramped area filled with pipes. Suddenly, a boomerang surrounded with deathperations flames comes at Yamamoto! Waiting for him is an assassin placed there by Irie. The boomerang relentlessly attacks him from all directions. Yamamoto cannot use his special attack in this cramped space. Yamamoto is cornered, but he thinks up a plan…

Electric, Again

Irie moves the blocks in Merone once again and fatefully reunites Gokudera and Gamma. Gokudera remembers his terrible loss to Gamma. Meanwhile, Gamma realizes how Merone Base works and tells Gokudera and Ryohei about it. Gamma looks confident, but his distrust of Irie has grown and he is deeply resentful. He says that he is thankful for this battle and glares at them. Gokudera immediately jumps out, but he`s held back by rope strengthened by Ryohei`s Sun flames. Tsuna wonders whether to accept Spanners help to complete his X Burner. Giannini opposes the idea over the transmitter. He says that they cannot trust an enemy engineer. Meanwhile, Gamma is cornered by Gokudera`s attacks that use five different waves. Gamma takes cover and carefully takes out a box from his pocket. It is a box that Yuni, boss of the Black Spells, asked the Phantom Knight to give to Gamma. Gokudera tries to drive Gamma out and defeat him. But a box weapon shaped like a black fox surrounded in large Lightning flames appears above Gokudera--!

Storm's Counterattack

A box weapon resembling a giant panther leaps out of Kangaroo`s pouch. It is Uri, who has grown up because of Sun powers! Gamma`s box weapon, Black Fox (Nero Volpi), makes its flames even bigger and intimidates Gokudera. It still seems like it`s saving a lot of its energy. The grown up Uri blocks the injured Gokudera and charges at the black fox. Upon seeing this, Gokudera realizes that Uri is a part of SISTEMA C.A.I. Gamma is hit by Gokudera`s attack. He begins to remember when he first met his boss, Yuni. Yamaoto is carrying Lal Mirch, who is unconscious. He wanders the Merone Base. Doors and hatches in the passageways automatically open and close. They appear to be leading him somewhere. Lal Mirch gives a moan. She has regained consciousness. But, she is unable to understand the situation. She asks Gokudera questions and tries to sort out the battle thus far. She realizes that it has only been a few hours since they have broken into Merone Base…

Virtual Space

Irie is getting restless about the fact that he still doesn`t know where Tsuna is. Meanwhile, Tsuna is struggling with contact lenses. Tsuna cannot get them on. Reborn is astounded by how pathetic he is. Spanner suggests changing the material the contact is made of. He can complete it in under an hour, but Reborn says that it`s pointless to just wait. Spanner begins gathering Tsuna`s battle information using the simulator that he used to create King Moska`s battle program.

The Two Fights

Irie forced the blocks in Merone Base to move in order to find Tsuna. Because of that, Spanner`s computer malfunctions and Tsuna is trapped in a virtual simulator gone out of control. The Ultimate Robot program that Irie made in high school appears before him. In this dangerous situation, Tsuna must attack and not run away! Meanwhile, Yamamoto happens to run into Nosaru, who is confused by the reorganization of the blocks. Nosaru is bitter about losing to Yamamoto from the future and immediately goes into battle position--!

Yamamoto is led to the Phantom Knight, who Gamma claims is the strongest swordsman. Yamamoto remembers from Squalo`s fight records that this person is the 100th person to lose to Squalo. But the Phantom Knight reveals the shocking fact that he purposefully lost to Squalo. Yamamoto cannot believe his ears--! Meanwhile, Irie gets a report from his scouts, who have returned from the Vongola base. They report that the Millefiore are dominating. Furthermore, Iris and Ginger report that Spanner has not returned to his room!

Yamamoto`s voice reaches Tsuna`s transmitter and the Vongola base! It is only for an instant, but they hear that he is in battle. Tsuna is worried, but he cannot hear his voice anymore. Meanwhile, Yamamoto is focused on his battle with the Phantom Knight. He showers him with Shigure Soen Ryu techniques, but the Phantom Knight dodges them all without even flinching. The Phantom Knight attacks while making use of illusions! Yamamoto manages to block the Phantom Knight`s sword with his Shigure Kintoki, but it gets a crack in its blade! Yamamoto is shocked--!

The Varia of the future quickly occupy the Millefiore base, where they are surrounded by the Millefiore forces. But the members, Lussuria, Levi, Bel, Squalo, and a quirky newcomer, Flan, are not patient enough to play defense. The Varia of the future go on the move under the command of Squalo, their chief of operations!

The last of the Six Funeral Wreaths is Bel`s twin brother, whom Bel supposedly killed. Bel suspects that Sil is an illusion, but he has to acknowledge that he is real when Sil shows him the birthmark that matches his own, as well as the scar that Bel gave him. Tsuna receives the Vongola Box from Irie. However, Irie shockingly tells him that in order to draw out the true power of the Vongola Rings and open the Vongola Box, the Seven Arcobaleno Seals are needed. In order to obtain the seals, Tsuna needs to overcome the Arcobaleno trials. However, in the future all of the Arcobaleno, besides Reborn, are dead. Tsuna doesn’t know what to do. Irie says that he`ll momentarily send Tsuna and his friends into the past so that they can retrieve the seals.

The Strongest Seven

Back in the past, the Arcobaleno are heading to Namimori to present Tsuna with their trials. Meanwhile, in the future, Irie is giving Tsuna and his friends instructions on how to return to the past. The Arcobaleno Trials are a week long. If they don`t get all seven seals during that time, they will lose all means to oppose Byakuran. With a newfound determination, Tsuna and his friends return to the Namimori of the past using Irie`s device. Tsuna and his friends are thrilled to see a peaceful Namimori. Reborn, previously silent, finally announces the start of the Arcobaleno Trials…

Trial #1

One day has passed since Tsuna and his friends had returned to the past and they still have yet to receive a trial. Reborn says he doesn`t know what order the Arcobaleno will appear. Tsuna suggests they should go to school and do as they would usually do. However, during recess they are suddenly attacked on the roof! It is a baby with goggles. It’s Lal Mirch. Lal says that she is the observer to the Arcobaleno Trials. Their first opponent is Colonnello, who has a blue pacifier. Colonnello begins Tsuna and Gokudera`s trial to test their combat abilities--!

The Arcobaleno Seals

Colonnello shows off his overwhelming strength. It is a tough fight even for Tsuna and his friends who had gotten stronger through training and fighting in the future. Colonello repeatedly strikes with his powerful punches, kicks, and his killer “Maximum Burst”! Barely able to catch his breath dodging the attacks, Tsuna can’t use his X Burner. However, Gokudera’s cleverness allows them a little bit of time to fire up the X Burner. Tsuna’s X Burner and Colonello’s Maximum Burst are used at the same time—which one will ultimately win….!?

Guardian Showdown! Cloud and Mist

Concern for Chrome brings Tsuna to Kokuyo Health Land. Hibari and Mukuro suddenly show up. The longstanding grudge between the two comes to a boil as soon as their eyes meet and they begin to fight! Tsuna can’t figure out what to do. It seems this unlikely situation was created by Skull, the Arcobaleno with the purple pacifier. At this rate, Hibari and Mukuro will continue to fight until one of them falls. Tsuna becomes panicked when Lal tells him that his trial has begun. On one side, there`s Skull`s trial and on the other side, Hibari and Mukuro are in fierce combat. Furthermore, Ken and Chikusa show up after noticing the chaos. It`s mayhem!

Box Weapon Prototype

A fog-draped morning, Tsuna is called out to Nami Junior High (?) by a mysterious phone call. On the way there, he runs into Yamamoto, Ryohei, and Gokudera. It turns out that Gokudera had come looking for Tsuna, but Yamamoto and Ryohei had been called out by the same kind of mysterious phone call. Is this one of the Arcobaleno’s tests…? They await suspiciously, and before them, Mammon—or Viper—of the Arcobaleno appears. Mammon says he has taken Kyoko hostage. Regardless of Tsuna and the others’ distraught faces, Mammom coldly kicks off a new mystery-solving game.

Catching the Wind

Tsuna receives a letter. Inside the letter, there is a photo of someone wearing sunglasses and a note that reads “Try and catch me.” I-Pin sees the photo and is in shock. Reborn says that the person in the photo is I-Pin’s master, Fon, the holder of the red pacifier of the Arcobaleno. I-Pin wants to help Tsuna, but cannot help but is clearly hesitant to capture someone to whom he pledged his loyalty. Perceiving that I-Pin felt that way, Tsuna takes off by himself for the test. The test with Fon is a game of tag. Will Tsuna be able to catch the swift Bushido master?

The Two who Inherit the Heavens

There are three remaining Arcobaleno tests, one of which is the sky Arcobaleno. Tsuna resembles the Arcobaleno and thus takes an interest in them, but Reborn tells him that the sky Arcobaleno has been missing for quite a while. So how will the sky Arcobaleno test be carried out? Just then, an unknown woman comes to Tsuna’s house with Kyoko and Haru, carrying the orange pacifier. The mystery grows when the woman asks Tsuna to take her, along with Kyoko and Haru, on a tour around Namimori. Does this have anything to do with the tests?

Reborn's Examination

At last, the day of Reborn’s trial rolls around. Reborn tells them to bring all of the guardians to Namimori Island and then leaves. Tsuna notices that Reborn isn’t his usual self, and Tsuna can’t hide his confusion. When Tsuna and the others arrive at the assigned destination, Reborn tells everyone they are to fight him to the death. Reborn mercilessly kicks Tsuna who says he can’t fight him. Even when Tsuna falls unconscious, Reborn commands the other guardians to continue fighting him without regard for the fallen Tsuna.

Closed Path

Tsuna and his friends are told that they did not pass Reborn’s test. If they don’t collect all seven seals of the Arcobaleno, they can’t open the Vongola box. Without the Vongola box, they would lose all means of fighting Byakuran. Will they be given a second chance? Or has the future been closed off to them? Tsuna and his friends are upset, but they somehow muster up the energy to ask Reborn for a second shot. Reborn goes silent upon being asked. But just then, weapons fire and explosives detonate. The last Arcobaleno, Verde appears!

When a Rainbow Forms

Verde attacks Tsuna and his friends with a weapon of his own invention. They fight back with all their might, but their wounds from Reborn’s test are still fresh, and they are not as powerful as usual. Verde’s intention was to attack Tsuna and his friends while they were weak so that he could steal the Vongola Ring. And this wasn’t just a test. Tsuna and his friends fight back desperately, and Reborn says he and the rest of the Arcobaleno will join in on the fight. As though to add insult to injury, Verde comes after them with a still unfinished box weapon. He even goes after Hibari and Lambo who have returned to Namimori. The Arcobaleno makes a move to help Tsuna and his friends….!

Verde takes Reborn and the Arcobaleno hostage and demands Tsuna to hand over the Vongola Ring. But the future depends on the Vongola Ring. Tsuna and his friends refuse to hand it over, and they head for the unfinished box weapon in order to save Reborn and the Arcobaleno. While watching them struggle against the weapon, Verde is more than ever captivated by the power of the Deathperation Flame. Verde summons forth a new device and activates it. At that instant, Tsuna, Gokudera, Yamamoto, and Hibari feel a kind of magnetic force. However, the other guardians don’t feel a thing. What in the world is this device for…?

It turns out that Verde, this whole time, was not actually Verde, but a robot!? Then where is the real Verde? If they don’t find him, they can’t get his seal. What`s more, the real Verde may be plotting yet another attack. Verde himself might not even be hiding within the limits of Namimori. The guardians are overcome with fear. Just then, Tsuna’s hyper senses detect something. Time is running out before they have to return to the future. Will Tsuna and his friends be able to collect all of the seals before time runs out?

Since being flown to the future and brought to the Merone Base, they have fought in many battles. Ultimately, Tsuna, who has defeated his nemesis, the Phantom Knight, comes across a white and round device. The astonishing truth that Irie informed them about awaits them there. The battle at the Merone Base comes to an end at the moment, and Tsuna passes another test, thereby acquiring the power to open the Vongola Box. However, whether he’ll be able to use it well all depends on his next training session. His next goal is to defeat Byakuran…! They venture off to their next battle to bring back peace and return to Namimori of 10 years earlier.

The Real 6 Funeral Wreaths

The Varia win the main battle in Italy, and all that is left is to defeat the boss, Byakuraun. While Tsuna and his friends are in high spirits, Byakuran sends a message via hologram as though to mock them. In a confident tone, Byakuran asks for a formal measuring of the Vongola’s strength against the Millefiore. However, the Millefiore’s main force has already been defeated by Tsuna and his friends at the Merone Base. Irie is having trouble recognizing his true intentions when her Mare ring breaks! And then a new enemy appears before Tsuna and his friends.

Inspiring Allies

The guardians are entrusted with the Vongola Box that the Tsuna from ten years later prepared. Tsuna and his friends refrained from battling Byakuran, and they receive a message of encouragement from the Varia of ten years later. However, they have been weakened in strength and spirit from the successive battles they have fought, and they are only able to light a small fire. Reborn sees this and orders them to rest. Tsuna and his friends retreat to the Vongola hideout, and just when they get settled, the radar suddenly catches suspicious activity. The radar indicates Tsuna’s home as the place in question. Namimori Holiday

Tsuna and his friends set off ten years in the future at the wish of Kyoko. Kyoko and her girlfriends seem to be concerned about their homes. Tsuna takes to heart Reborn’s warning never to forget that this is the world of ten years later, and he follows the girls. After walking around town, Ryohei and Kyoko head to their respective homes, and Tsuna and Bianchi decide to go with Haru to her house. However, when they get there, they see that all of the shutters are closed and no one appears to be home. When they ring the doorbell, there is no answer. Does a harsh reality await them in the world of ten years later?

A Warm Place

Kyoko and Haru are worried about Chrome, who has not come out of her room to eat. Bianchi says that Chrome just doesn’t know how to respond to the kindness of Kyoko and Haru, but their concerns continue to grow. Urged by Reborn and Kyoko, Tsuna decides to check up on Chrome. Chrome opens the door for Tsuna, but when Gokudera comes near, she immediately closes it again. Alone in her room, Chrome stays tucked in her futon. But inside her heart, something is beginning to change.

For My Friends

The fight against Byakuran is approaching, and yet Yamamoto is nonchalant as usual. Gokudera sees this and can’t hide his annoyance. However, Yamamoto seems to have a plan of his own. Everyone learns from the newspaper that there will be a district baseball competition at Namimori Middle School. According to Kusakabe, Namimori Middle School’s baseball team of this time period is too wild, and the team is on the verge of being discontinued. Yamamoto hears this and his expression turns gloomy. A short while later, Yamamoto disappears from the base. He is worried about the baseball team and has gone to the school. Gokudera is angry, but what exactly is Yamamoto’s intention…?

Irie explains the rules of the game, Choice, to Tsuna and the crew. It is a war game in which one gets to choose opponents and battlefields. The winner gets to take one thing from the loser’s belongings. Irie and Byakuran originally came up with Choice as a board game during their college days, and it has since then developed into a computer game. But how exactly is the computer game played? There are still a lot of things that are unclear. However, what is known at this stage is that they will need the ability to move about large battlefields. According to Reborn’s plan, Giannini and Spanner face off for the first time.

Airbike

What Giannini showed Tsuna and his friends was an Airbike fueled by Deathperation Flames. This bike runs on similar principles as the hovercraft, and it is supposedly part of Tsuna’s collection in the future. Reborn thinks Tsuna and his friends have fully recovered, both physically and psychologically, so they begin intensive training on how to ride the Airbike. However, Tsuna is taken back by the new machinery and he shows fear. He confesses that he had used training wheels on his bicycle until he was in the fifth grade, whining that there is no way he would be able to ride such a bike, but….

The Sky Vongola Box

Reborn finally gives them permission to start their Vongola Box training. However, due to some necessary preparations, they are not allowed to use their Vongola Boxes until the following day. Tsuna and his friends are told to take a break for the time being, so they all go to their own rooms. Tsuna stares at his box and turns his thoughts toward its content. When he lights a flame on his ring, the box responds by starting to move. Tsuna can’t believe his eyes, but the box is certainly responding to the flame. Tsuna is so curious that he finds himself opening his Vongola Box. Accompanied by an intense light, Tsuna’s Box Weapon is….

Terror! Turmoil on Base

Dino comes from the to the Vongola Base. Seeing the gallant Dino atop his Box Weapon, Cavallo Alato, makes everyone realize the what a difference a decade makes. It seems Reborn wanted everyone to wait until the following day to begin their Box Weapon training because he wanted Dino’s help. But without his assistant Romario around, Dino is as inept as he always has been. Dino brought with him a special box for their training, but it ends up being the source of a big scare at the Vongola Base…

Vongola Box, Training Begins

Dino begins the Vongola Box training. Reborn holds an even higher position than Dino, watching over everyone as the “Tutor Fairy". But he tells Tsuna that he’s all alone until he can figure out how to properly open his box. Tsuna can’t hide his embarrassment, and when he goes to Yamamoto, he is just told to wait. According to Dino, the one person who truly understands Yamamoto’s potential is making a move. Who is this person exactly? Additionally, Kyoko and Haru decide to act on their own. What are they setting out to do?

Boycott Declared

Tsuna and his crew have had enough with the training. Tsuna is still unable to open his box, and the others are worn out from the damage done by Lambo’s Box Weapon. On top of that, Kyoko and Haru ask Tsuna and the others to share the secret they’ve been keeping from the girls. Reborn pretends to not know anything because he doesn’t want to tell the girls anything about the Mafia or Byakuran. But the girls are adamant, and they decide to boycott all household chores until they are informed. Keeping up with their training is hard enough, and now Tsuna and the other guys will have to start cooking and cleaning themselves…

With the Same Heart

Tsuna finally gives in and tells Kyoko and Haru everything. He tells them about the Vongola Family, about Byakuran, and about their upcoming battle. When Tsuna finishes explaining, Haru stays strong and just gives Tsuna a smile. But later, when she’s alone, Haru thinks about the burden everyone had been carrying and she begins to cry at her uselessness. Tsuna had told the girls without consulting the others, and he is worried that they won’t forgive him. Just then, someone hacks into the HQ’s communication system, and the person who appears on the screen is Byakuran!

Day Of The Battle

The Vongola Box training is done, and they just have to make their way to the spot Byakuran had chosen. Reborn has suits made for the gang with Leon’s flame-resistant thread. These black suits are the Vongola’s uniform. Irie reminds Tsuna and the others that the future of the world depends on this battle. But the future of the world is a bit overwhelming to grasp, so Reborn tells Tsuna and his friends to just focus on fighting to bring peace back to Namimori. The gang heads off to the battle, motivated by Reborn’s words.

Choice Begins

The gang’s flame pressure is greater than Byakuran had expected, and they are all granted permission to participate in the Choice game. Countless cards fall from Byakuran’s giant head. Byakuran explains that each one of them must choose one of these cards at random to determine a battlefield. He goes on to explain that in this game, the conditions of the battle are chosen by each person’s luck. Giannini is nervous about picking a card from their enemy’s set, but Irie assures them that Byakuran would never cheat in Choice. Persuaded by his friends to go on and choose a card, Tsuna picks one of the cards…

Sky Lion: Leone di Cielo ver. Vongola

In the battle at hand, they decide to implement the “target rule.” With this rule, the opposing teams each choose one person to be a target. Whichever team first defeats that target wins. Irie and Daisy are both chosen as targets. They wear target marks on their chests from which they can fire Deathperation Flames. Deathperation Flames are pure life energy. Even if the two targets are not directly hit by their enemies, using too much of their Deathperation Flames could lead to their death as well. Tsuna and the others are apprehensive, but Byakuran tells them with a cold smile that whoever’s Deathperation Flames first go out is the loser.

Fateful Showdown

Tsuna draws on the First Generation Vongola, Mantello di Vongola Primo’s self-defense mode to nullify Torikabuto’s attack. He uses the Sky “harmony factor” to harmonize Torikabuto’s sea snake with the surrounding buildings, thereby turning it into stone. After that, Tsuna punches Torikabuto and knocks him down to the ground. The Vongola side gets excited about this win, but it doesn’t matter how many people you beat—the game doesn’t end unless you defeat the target. Yamamoto braces himself to attack the target, and just then, his fated enemy appears before him.

Revenge

When he sees Yamamoto’s Box Weapon, the Phantom Knight makes the Hell Ring eat his soul to double his fighting power. Kyoko and Haru tremble with fear when they see the Phantom Knight transformed into a skeleton, but Yamamoto remains confident. The Phantom Knight loses all sense of reason and turns very vicious. Yamamoto repeatedly counters the Phantom Knight’s sword and illusion attacks with tranquility factor rain flames. Then, he brings out Shigure Soen Ryu Secret xx. Will Yamamoto be able to take revenge using the Shigure Soen Ryu he inherited from his father?

Kikyo's Assault

Now that Tsuna has defeated the Torikabuto and Yamamoto has defeated the Phantom Knight, the group decides to go directly after the opponents’ target. Daisy is frightened, and Kikyo tells her that she has been pretending to be in a pinch just to entertain Byakuran. The real six Funeral Wreaths have yet to give it their all. Just then, Tsuna’s contacts’ navigation system goes awry. In the meantime, Kikyo swiftly destroys their decoy and moves closer to Irie. The real six Funeral Wreaths are surging forward to catch up!

Choice Ends

Irie and Spanner start up the base unit and try to escape as Kikyo draws near. They decide that the best thing to do right then is to escape, at least until Yamamoto defeats the opponents’ target, Daisy. However, the enemy’s base unit is guarded by a sturdy barrier, and they can’t get through. And Tsuna is still unable to break free of Torikabuto’s illusory space. Gokudera races over to hold Kikyo back, but without his Box Weapon, he is unable to stop her from breaking through into their base unit.

The Truth About the Future

Despite suffering a bad wound from Kikyo’s attacks, Irie desperately tries to fight back. He doesn’t even stop after their loss in Choice is declared. Tsuna sees his desperation and asks why he is so determined to defeat Byakuran. Irie responds by starting to speak about his relationship with Byakuran—something he has never talked about before. It all started ten years ago, when the young Irie and Lambo met, and Irie got the Ten-Year Bazooka’s bullet. Using the Ten-Year Bazooka’s bullet, the young Irie time-traveled to the future where he met Byakuran. There, something that Irie did made Byakuran realize his powers.

Yuni Comes

Upon hearing Irie tell his story, Tsuna becomes fully aware of just how important their battle was. They lost the battle that was their only hope of defeating Byakuran. While Tsuna is in despair, Byakuran comes to steal their Vongola Rings as if to hit him while he’s down. Will the 7³ Policy fall into Byakuran’s hands? Irie brings up a promise from the past, and he asks to play another game of Choice. Byakuran claims they never made such a promise, but just then, an unexpected visitor appears before them.

Escape

Tsuna and his friends try to break out of the Choice battlefield by firing flames at the Teleportation System. Hibari uses his Cloud Hedgehog to hold up the enemy, and Gokudera and Squalo back him up. Right when Dino is using his whole body to try to stop Byakuran, Mukuro from ten years in the future arrives, having used Real Illusions and wielding Chrome’s trident! The future Mukuro resists Byakuran with his powerful illusions. Mukuro says many puzzling things to Tsuna, including an order to never hand the Sky Arcobaleno, Yuni, over to Byakuran.

After the Battle

Tsuna and his friends somehow make it back to Namimori Town with the Teleportation System. Not only has the system been damaged, but Byakuran and the real six Funeral Wreaths are merely being delayed, and they’ll be after Tsuna and the gang any moment. Until then, they have to find a way to protect Yuni and win against Byakuran. Tsuna and his friends rest for a bit to calm down. Reborn explains what’s been going on in detail to Lal, who stayed at the Vongola base, and he insinuates that he has a secret plan to increase everyone’s power. It seems like Reborn isn’t the only one who’s in on this…

The Primo Family Arrives!

Reborn disappears after telling Tsuna and the others to bring Yuni and meet him back in front of Irie’s device. Tsuna and his friends are flung ten years into the past to Namimori. They see that Reborn has brought the Arcobaleno and realize they were brought to the past to be tutored by the Arcobaleno. But what exactly are they going to do? Just then, with the power of Yuni’s prayers and the Arcobaleno’s pacifiers, Vongola Primo appears out of the Vongola Ring! The first generation Vongola Family begins to evaluate whether Tsuna and the gang are worthy of succeeding the Vongola Family’s true powers.

Inheritance Begins

Tsuna and his friends still have no clue what will be on the first generation’s succession test, but the Arcobaleno all start tutoring the crew in their own ways. Colonnello makes plans to toughen up Yamamoto, while Fong decides to first observe Gokudera’s personality. Skull is getting nowhere, and it seems Mammon hasn’t gotten anything done yet. Even worse is Verde, who hasn’t even shown his face. Will they be okay at this rate? While Tsuna and his friends are stressing about the test, the first generation Guardian of the Rain Ring, Asari Ugetsu appears before them!

The Duty of the Guardian of Rain

Although Yamamoto won against the first generation Rain Guardian, Asari Ugetsu, he ended up being disqualified. Yamamoto is shocked. The rest of the crew doesn’t understand why he was disqualified, though Asari Ugetsu says that Tsuna should know why. Tsuna thinks about it but can’t quite figure it out. Yamamoto is hard on himself and becomes even more depressed. Then, Colonnello says that Yamamoto must solve this problem himself or it will have been for naught.

Furious Bolt of Lightning

It’s Lambo’s turn to take his succession test, which takes place at an amusement park. The first generation Lightning Guardian, Lampo, is very lazy, and he decides on an extremely random task. He says he will deem Lambo worthy of inheriting his power if he can complete the stamp rally in the park and make it back to Lampo. The crew thinks this should be an easy task to clear, but Lambo gets completely absorbed in the attractions at the park and forgets about his succession test. But the amusement park feels a little weird. Reborn and the rest of the crew begin to think that Lambo’s tutor, Verde, who has yet to show up at all, has something to do with it…

Silent Storm

Yamamoto’s and Lambo’s tests are finished, and Gokudera starts getting impatient for his turn. Fong tells him to calm down, but Gokudera doesn’t want to hear that. In order to prepare for his upcoming succession test, Gokudera opens his Box Weapon to train with Uri, but Uri is disobedient as usual and runs away. While Gokudera is running around looking for Uri, another Gokudera appears before Fong! When Tsuna and his friends see the person pretending to be Gokudera, they sense that something is out of place, but then their super intuition is sealed!

Aloof Cloud

There are three remaining succession tests. Ryohei is raring to take his test, but Hibari’s turn comes before his. But when the Cloud Guardian Alaude tells Hibari that the succession test is not a battle, Hibari loses all interest. The rest of the crew tries to motivate Hibari, but Hibari is being difficult. Just then, Ryohei says he’ll take care of it as the eldest of the group and furiously starts trying to convince Hibari. Ryohei doesn’t give up, no matter how many times Hibari brushes him off. And then, finally, Hibari gets so irritated that he takes out his Tonfa!

Sunny Then Cloudy

Skull arrives on a giant fighter aircraft to try to convince Hibari, but he fails and starts randomly shooting missiles in desperation. But Hibari attacks with his Box Weapon, Cloud Hedgehog, and makes a hole in Skull’s aircraft. Air starts leaking out of the aircraft, and it slowly begins to fall. It looks like it’s going to fall right onto Namimori Middle School! Even Hibari freezes up, but the man wielding Sun Flames makes a move! What will become of Hibari’s inheritance succession test?

The Trap is Set

Chrome and Tsuna are the only ones left to take their inheritance succession tests. But Tsuna hears from Kyoko and Haru that Chrome is nowhere to be found. Worried, Tsuna and his friends make their way to Kokuyo Land to see what is going on. The gang runs into Ken and Chikusa along the way, who say that Chrome is back but acting strange. They rush over to Chrome, who bursts into tears and says she doesn’t want to fight anymore. Tsuna feels bad for having dragged her into some tough situations, but he doesn’t quite know what to say to her.

Bewitching Mist

Kyoko and Haru are taken hostage as part of the first-generation Guardian of the Mist Ring, Daemon Spade’s scheme. He had been spying on Tsuna and his friends for a while now, and he determined that Kyoko and Haru could be valuable hostages. What exactly does Daemon Spade want from the gang? And why would a member of the first-generation Family do such a terrible thing? Tsuna and his friends are confused, but Daemon Spade begins to speak to them with a confident grin on his face. He says that he would free his hostages if Tsuna and the others became the ideal Vongola inheritors. What could Daemon Spade’s true intention be?

Memories of Betrayal

Tsuna and his friends are trapped and forced to fight illusory opponents that look exactly like them. These illusions have Daemon’s voice and reflect his intentions, and they attack the gang to try to change them to match Daemon Spade’s ideal. His ideal Vongola Family is a mafia organization with the powerful ability to control and take over the enemy and keep growing stronger. Will Tsuna and his friends be able to win against Daemon Spade and stand firm in their convictions? In the middle of the battle, Daemon Spade tells them about his act of betrayal…

Primo's Will

Daemon Spade continues to show a will to fight even when he is under pressure from Tsuna and the gang. He insists on a one-on-one fight against Tsuna. While fighting, Daemon explains how he feels about the Vongola Family. Tsuna listens to him, and while he defends himself against Daemon’s attacks, he does not go on the offense. Gokudera can’t bear to watch any longer, and he tries to back Tsuna up. But Reborn stops him and says that this is the boss’s fight, and they must not get involved. The Guardians hold their breaths and watch from the sidelines. Tsuna continues to endure Daemon’s attacks and then speaks of his unchanging conviction…

The Family's Resolve

Tsuna and his friends successfully obtain their inheritance, and they go back to the future. Yuni and Reborn are there to take back the pacifier they had left with Lal. Reborn tells Lal all about what Tsuna and the gang went through in their succession tests. But through all the adversity, Tsuna and his friends were able to embody their roles as Vongola Decimo and his Guardians. As a result, the gang was not only able to obtain their inheritance, but also strengthen the bond of the group and prepare themselves in face of the battles ahead.

The Real 6 Funeral Wreaths Attack!

Tsuna and his friends are nervous about when the real six Funeral Wreaths would come after them. The Flame Ring Teleportation System had been damaged, but it’s not completely destroyed. Giannini and Spanner are closely observing the base’s security system. Meanwhile, Hibari and Dino are keeping watch at Nami Middle. And Squalo uses the base’s communication system to seek the Varia’s support. Just then, the Flame Ring Teleportation System appears in the sky, accompanied by some ominous sounds. Six lights scatter upon Namimori Town. The real six Funeral Wreaths finally arrive!

Open Carnage Box

Tsuna and his friends run into Mr. Kawahira. Mr. Kawahira is a regular at the ramen shop where I-Pin works ten years in the future. Tsuna and the gang remember hearing his name from the future I-Pin when she arrived using the Ten-Year Bazooka. For some reason, Mr. Kawahira knows about the real six Funeral Wreaths, and he tells the gang that he will give them refuge. It all seems kind of suspicious, but Tsuna and his friends decide to take Mr. Kawahira up on his offer. Meanwhile, at Namimori Middle, the battle between Daisy, Dino, and Hibari gets off to a start!

Alaude's Handcuffs

Hibari’s Vongola Box Weapon is shaped like handcuffs. Daisy is surprised to see a Vongola Box Weapon for the first time. The real six Funeral Wreaths know about Tsuna and the gang’s special attacks because Byakuran provided them with information from the parallel worlds. However, the Vongola Boxes only exist in this world, so they have not obtained any information on them. But Daisy laughs and says these weapons are very suitable for him. What does he mean by that? Tsuna and his friends are hiding at Kawahira Real Estate, and when Dino stops corresponding from Nami Middle, they find themselves completely in the dark about the battle going on there.

Daemon Spade's Devil Lens

Gamma rescues Yuni, who was captured by Torikabuto. Despite having fought Gokudera and the others as leader of the Millefiore, Gamma is now here only for the sake of protecting his boss, Yuni. Even Nosaru and Tazaru are happy to serve Yuni in combat. But Gamma can’t exercise his full power potential because his Mare Ring was stolen. Gamma still puts himself on the line and does everything within his power to protect Yuni. Torikabuto draws near to Gamma and Yuni, and just then, Tsuna appears before them!

The Final Battle Begins

Byakuran orders that Ghost, the last of the real six Funeral Wreaths, be released from Vindice’s prison. But when Iris comes to get Ghost, Vindice says that he has already been released, and he shows her a video of a different man being released. Who is this man who deceived the fearsome Vindice and was set free instead of Ghost? Meanwhile, Tsuna and his friends hide in the forest at Yuni’s suggestion. Gokudera seems to have gotten hurt pretty bad ly. Then, when dawn is about to break, Yuni predicts that their final battle is about to start.

G´s Archery

Kikyo and his comrades planned to surround the Vongola and attack from three corners, but when he hears an explosion from somewhere in the forest, he stops advancing for the moment. Kikyo says the battle has begun, but he looks pretty confident as he gazes in the direction of the explosion. He thinks the Vongola will have no chance of winning once Zakuro starts fighting for real. Gokudera is extremely worn out from fighting, but then he sees Zakuro in action and is absolutely astonished by Zakuro’s power. Gokudera has strengthened his resolve up until now, but will he be able to come through in this battle?

Lampo's Shield

With the help of Uri, Gokudera hits Zakuro with one solid attack. But just then, Bluebell shows up to fight him too! Gokudera doesn’t have the strength left in him to move, let alone fight another battle. As Bluebell is about to finish him off, Gokudera gets backup from someone unexpected. Meanwhile, Kikyo comes to the marsh where Ryohei, Basil, Lambo, Nosaru, and Tazaru are hiding. These battles between the Millefiore and Vongola will require a lot from everyone involved!

Knuckle's Maximum Break

Lambo employs his Vongola Box’s power to defeat Kikyo’s Box Weapon, Nuvola Velociraptor. But Lambo, exhausted from exerting himself, falls asleep soon after, and Kikyo takes this opportunity to get back at him by opening his Carnage Box! The intensification of the Cloud flames spawns countless Spinosaurus heads. Basil, Nosaru, and Tazaru cannot possibly take all of them on. Just then, Ryohei stands up and announces that he will beat Kikyo in three minutes—the equivalent of a boxing round. The time has come for Ryohei to exercise his Vongola Box’s power!

The Last Real Funeral Wreath

The battle between the Varia and the duo Zakuro and Bluebell is only getting more intense. Tsuna, who can only worry from afar, begins to sense that something terrible has happened. Reborn doesn’t help his angst when he says that the Varia may be strong, but their chances against the superhuman real six Funeral Wreaths are slim. Over at the scene of the battle, the Varia are indeed struggling against the real six Funeral Wreaths. Bel, Levi, and Lussuria have been captured by one of Bluebell’s attacks, and even Xanxus is hit by Kikyo’s Spinosaurus.

Ghost Awakens

The last real six Funeral Wreath, Ghost, finally arrives when things are most intense. His body is twice the size of a normal person, and it radiates light as though it is electrically charged. He also looks identical to Byakuran. Everyone is astonished by the sight of this unexpected last Funeral Wreath, and even Kikyo seems rattled. Gokudera, Basil, and Ryohei launch a preemptive strike with an attack that combines all of their Box Weapons!

Sky Full of Desire

The battle between Tsuna’s Deathperation Point Zero Revised and Ghost comes to an end, but something doesn’t seem right. Tsuna absorbed Ghost’s flames, but his own flame power has not increased at all. Where did all of Ghost’s flame energy go? Finally, Byakuran arrives on the scene! But the guardians and the Varia are too exhausted after Ghost took their flame energy. Just then, the extent of Ghost’s true power is shown at the hands of Byakuran!

Precious Moments in Time

Tsuna is almost crushed by Byakuran’s power. The two of them keep firing back at each other with increasingly bigger Deathperation Flames. Then, out of nowhere, Tsuna’s and Byakuran’s rings begin to resonate very loudly. Yuni is in hiding far away from them, but her pacifier starts to fire Deathperation Flames and make the same noise as well. Reborn thinks that the Sky elements are contacting one another. Yuni floats up into the air, and she is taken in the direction of Byakuran and Tsuna against her will. Yuni seems to be headed for danger. What is happening?!

Sea. Clam. Rainbow.

Byakuran is surprised at Vongola Primo’s unexpected visit. Apparently, his arrival could not be foreseen even with Byakuran’s access to parallel worlds. Yuni explains to Byakuran why Vongola Primo has come. The reason has something to do with the Sky elements of the 73 policy. Vongola Primo says that he is there to unleash them. He seems to be referring to the Vongola rings, but will this provide Tsuna the opportunity to power up?

To a New Future

The long battle in the future finally comes to an end. However, the group has suffered some major losses. Tsuna begins to have doubts that this devastating battle was as important as he had thought. Just then, the Arcobaleno comes up with a way to bring everything back to normal with the information they received from Yuni’s flames. With this solution, Byakuran’s evil doings would be erased from the past. Not only that, the past in which people perished at the hands of Byakuran would be changed so that their lives would not be lost. A new past would be born, and it would lead to a brighter future.
