Synopsis

Life isn't easy in feudal Japan... especially since the aliens landed and conquered everything! Oh sure, the new health care is great, but the public ban on the use of swords has left a lot of defeated samurai with a difficult decision to make concerning their future career paths! This is especially true if, as in the case of Gintoki Sakata, they're not particularly inclined towards holding a day job, which is why Gintoki's opted for the freelance route, taking any job that's offered to him as long as the financial remuneration sounds right. Unfortunately, in a brave new world filled with stray bug-eyed monsters, upwardly mobile Yakuza and overly ambitious E.T. entrepreneurs, those jobs usually don't pay as well as they should for the pain, suffering and indignities endured!

A mother suddenly barges into the Odd Jobs office, wanting them to find her son Hachiro, who disappeared after coming to Edo. Though perplexed by the mother’s excessive concern, Gintoki and the gang begin their search for Hachiro. Using a photograph as a clue, they discover that Hachiro has undergone many plastic surgeries. They draw hair and a mustache on the photo for fun and a man named Hachiro who looks exactly like the man in the photo passes them by. Gintoki and the others are sure that this man is the Hachiro they`re looking for, and bring Hachiro and his mother together, but…

Edo is in an uproar about the serial kidnappings of women. The Shinsengumi goes overboard in cracking down and sees a sudden drop in their public image. Kondo invites pop idol Tsu Terakado to be chief for the day in order to call on Edo residents to prevent crimes, as well as to boost the Shinsengumi`s image. Otsu is eager to do her duty and begins reforming the Shinsengumi, beginning with the bureau`s regulations. The Odd Jobs Trio are asked by Otsu to accompany her dressed up as the uninspiring mascot character Makoto-chan. The Shinsengumi realizes who they are and a fight breaks out. While they fight, someone kidnaps Otsu.

When Looking For Things You

Mutsu`s Pleasure Support Club tries to deliver batteries so powerful that one can power a space battleship to Aoki and Co. But a group of men dressed in black shows up and steals the batteries and the money. Mutsu asks the Odd Jobs to recover the batteries and the money and capture the Pleasure Support Club’s missing leader, Sakamoto. Gintoki and the others easily capture Sakamoto and go to Aoki and Co., but find no clues. Gintoki and the others are forced to go along with Sakamoto`s plan to go out gallivanting and drinking. As they totter down the night road, heading home, a group sneaks up behind them. Gintoki and Sakamoto realize the danger they`re in and reminisce about the past as they confront their attackers. Sakamoto fires a gun and bluffs the enemy into retreating so no one gets hurt.

Elizabeth comes to Yorozuya, but Katsura, who is always with her, isn`t there. Gintoki and the others are unsure how to treat Elizabeth. She doesn`t talk and is difficult to figure out. Shinpachi decides to serve her tea, but Elizabeth doesn`t react. He tries to serve her coffee next, but her attitude doesn`t change at all. Kagura decides to serve her a certain drink as a last resort. Upon being served that drink, Elizabeth quietly begins to shed tears!

Be Careful Not To Leave Your Umbrella Somewhere

Kagura has snuck onto a suspicious ship where she fights Takasugi under the bright moonlight. Kagura senses an odd presence and is attacked from behind. She escapes Matako Kijima’s double pistols, but Henpeita Takechi is waiting for her with the ronin he leads. Kagura wreaks havoc, but in the confusion of battle, Matako hits her with a gunshot. Even though her shoulder and leg have been injured, Kagura fights on. Finally, she gets within the ship.

The Sun Will Rise Again

The Katsura’s Faction launches a midair battle against Takasugi to avenge Katsura, who was attacked by Nizo the Butcher. Nizo fights back with Benizakura, a sword-shaped weapon that has become fused with his arm. Meanwhile, Henpeita Takechi and Matako Kijima have captured Kagura. Shinpachi sneaks on board Takasugi`s ship and uses the confusion of a cannon shot to successfully save Kagura. Meanwhile, Gintoki is headed to Takasugi’s ship along with Tetsuko, the younger sister of Tetsuya, the creator of the Benizakura.

On A Moonless Night, Insects Are Drawn To The Light

Gintoki and Nizo battle to the death on the deck of Takasugi`s ship. The anti-battleship weapon Benizakura has infiltrated Nizo`s mind, driving Nizo out of control. Gintoki fights back with a sword forged by Tetsuko. Nizo attacks with overwhelming strength, but slowly, the battle begins to turn in Gintoki`s favor. Meanwhile, within the ship, Takasugi plans to use the Benizakura to overthrow the shogunate, but he is confronted by Tetsuya, the man who forged the Benizakura, Tetsuya`s younger sister Tetsuko, and Katsura.

Even Mummy Hunters Sometimes Turn into Mummys

Hijikata receives a report from Shinsengumi inspector Yamazaki about the struggle between the Katsura Faction and Takasugi Faction. Included is information on sightings of people who appear to be the Jacks-of-all-trades in the riot. Hijikata suspects that Gintoki has connections with the Antiforeigner Faction, so he orders Yamazaki to investigate Gintoki`s affairs. Yamazaki questions Gintoki`s friends, but he isn`t able to get anything out of them. At his wit`s end, Yamazaki ends up visiting the Jacks-of-all-trades. The Jacks-of-all-trades are out, but he gets information that Gintoki is receiving medical treatment at Shinpachi`s house.

The Preview Section in JUMP is Always Unreliable

Ninja Zenzo Hattori runs through the city at night. His job requires him to be on time and fulfill his clients` requests perfectly. The job: pizza delivery. One night, as Zenzo is about to land, Gintoki crashes his scooter into Zenzo`s backside. Ignoring the pain of his hemorrhoids, Zenzo grabs the pizza box to make his delivery. But instead of the pizza box, Zenzo accidentally grabs Gintoki`s Jump. Zenzo`s client, Okuni, takes the Jump and tells Zenzo that misfortune will befall his rear and that he should be careful.

Eating Nmaibo Can Make You Full in No Time!

Katsura, who is secretly a member of the Joi Faction, is visited by a reporter from the talk show The Edo. Katsura tells reporter Hanano that he wants the citizens to know about the work that the Joi Faction has done and think about what they can do for the country. Led by Okita, the Shinsengumi barges in, and Katsura is forced to run. He takes out a corn potage-flavored Nmaibo from his kimono and shows it to the Shinsengumi, explaining that he carries it around as emergency rations. The Shinsengumi continue to pursue him, and Katsura throws the Nmaibo onto the roof. The Nmaibo acts as a smoke screen, and Katsura and his group manage to escape.

Rhinoceros Beetles Teach Boys that Life is Precious

Stag beetle wrestling has become popular in Edo. Kagura enters Sadaharu 28, a dung beetle that she is fond of, into a competition. But Okita of the Shinsengumi barges in and defeats Kagura with his jumbo stag beetle. Meanwhile, Gintoki learns that stag beetles can be sold at high prices and plans to go to the forest to catch some. Kagura says that she wants to catch a stag beetle to avenge Sadaharu 28. The group heads to the forest, but they find the Shinsengumi already there, desperately looking for stag beetles …

Dango Over Flowers

Gintoki is stuffing himself with dango at Konpeito, a quiet dango shop. The shop`s customers have been lured away by the sweets shop Andromeda, which is across the street. The owner persists in promoting his shop with his enthusiasm for dango. Gintoki learns that Sweets, the owner of Andromeda, is trying to drive Konpeito out of business because he wants the land. Konpeito`s owner won’t agree to Sweets’ proposition, so Sweets challenges him to a competition. Konpeito and Andromeda will invite people to eat dango, and the shop whose dango is most popular wins. The loser has to close up shop. Konpeito`s owner is hesitant, but Gintoki has a plan. The match begins!

For the Wind Is the Life

Gintoki gets robot puppeteer Gengai Hiraga to fix his bike. But when Gintoki tries to leave Gengai`s shop without paying the repair bill, Gengai activates the modification he had secretly made. Gintoki loses control of his scooter and crashes it into another scooter belonging to Amanto express messenger Noriko Mach. Now Noriko is injured and unable to ride her bike. But it turns out she has a special physical condition.

Like a Haunted House, Life is Filled with Horrors

It is the day of a festival, but Gintoki and the others head to the temple grounds. Kagura complains that she wants to enjoy the festivities, but Gintoki tells her that they have to take over someone`s shift. Ochi, a man dressed up as a fallen samurai with an arrow in his head, appears before them. He manages the haunted house at the festival. Gintoki and the others have come to help him. Ochi tells them about how he was unappreciated by those around him, how he was downsized, how his wife left him, and how his only reason for living is running a haunted house splendidly. Gintoki and the others become concerned for him and try to help, but…

Please Help by Separating Your Trash

Gintoki tosses out his magazines on the day for combustible garbage pickup. Scared off by a terrifying commercial, Gintoki goes back to retrieve his magazines, but passes out after seeing a woman`s severed head at the dumping ground. The next day, Gintoki wakes up in his room and is relieved when he thinks it was just a dream, only to find the severed head in Kagura`s hands. Shinpachi informs the panicked Gintoki that it’s the head of an Etsuko, a popular mechanical maid. Gintoki and the others are unable to get a body for the bodiless Etsuko when they hear breaking news. Professor Hayashi, the Etsuko`s creator, has been killed, and there is a warrant out for Fuyo, his prototype mechanical maid . Fuyo`s characteristics match that of the head that Gintoki and the group have…

Too Many Cuties Can Make You Sick

Gintoki and the gang are suddenly attacked by maids and split up into two groups. Gintoki and Kagura act as decoys to draw away the enemy maids, while Shinpachi takes Tama to Gengai. Tama tells Shinpachi that he has a 5 percent chance of surviving and suggests that he should leave her and run away. But Shinpachi tells her that a samurai protects the person they have sworn to protect no matter what. His words stir a mysterious sensation within Tama that she was not programmed to feel.

Some Data Cannot Be Erased

Gintoki and the others rush to Number 502, who plans to take control of Edo with machines. They head to the terminal in Gengai`s tank. Gengai and the tank are lost in an attack by a giant maid. Gintoki parts ways with Kagura and Sadaharu, and heads further in with Fuyo. Gintoki and Fuyo finally confront 502. 502 tries to welcome Fuyo as a reincarnation of his daughter, but Fuyo refuses. Obeying the words of late Professor Hayashi to give his daughter a smile, she tries to destroy 502, who has gone out of control!

Katsura is reporting the shogunate`s recent activities at a salon where Joi faction members gather. But the faction members are only interested in talking about the latest popular drama and don`t listen to what he says. Katsura becomes angry and leaves the salon. He proceeds to a video rental store. When he tries to rent a video, the store employee asks him to show his driver`s license as identification, but as a fugitive, he doesn`t have a license. Meanwhile, Gintoki has gone to a driving school to take lessons after having his license suspended. When he gets into a passenger seat as part of a joint exercise with the other students, he finds Katsura in the driver`s seat!

Think For A Minute Now, Do Matsutake Mushrooms Really Taste All That Good?

The Odd Jobs gang has gone to the mountains to go hunting for matsutake mushrooms. Gintoki is in high spirits, but a hunter named Marinosuke appears before him and warns him to leave the mountain quickly because it`s dangerous. But Gintoki and the others don`t listen and are intent on finding matsutake mushrooms. Masamune, a giant bear that`s being controlled by a space mushroom, appears before the group! Gintoki and the others escape thanks to Marinosuke. They try to fight Masamune to collect a reward. But a mushroom just like the one controlling Masamune is growing out of Gintoki`s head!!

The Manga Writer Becomes A Pro, After Doing A Stock Of Manuscripts

One day, Kagura and the others notice that Catherine`s eyebrows are on the verge of connecting. While the group is watching a report about an accident nearby where a truck fell over on its side, Catherine comes back and her eyebrows have connected. Catherine becomes violent for some reason and attacks Otose. When things settle down, Otose`s eyebrows are also connected! Gintoki and the others run away from the strange incident. Then they notice that people with connected eyebrows are attacking people all over the place. Edo is placed under emergency alert, and people are forbidden from touching people with connected eyebrows. A great tragedy is descending upon Edo…

Despite the danger of being canceled, Gintama has reached its second year. Gintoki claims that they were able to overcome it through manipulation, but Shinpachi reveals that they were almost canceled because of that. The Odd Jobs keep talking on and on and discover something terrible. They used up half a year`s worth of their production money on the episodes up to now! They decide to look back on the past 75 episodes, but for some reason, the theme song is Otsu`s “Your Mother is a XX.” Thinking it a bad idea to change the theme song, they put out a Prince Hata version of the opening sequence.

In Those Situations, Keep Quiet And Cook Red Rice With Beans

One night, Hijikata visits the Smile Snack House. He ignores the girls making a fuss over him and designates Otae to be his host. He has a request—he wants her to act like Kondo`s wife and destroy his arranged marriage. The person that Kondo is set to marry is the third princess of planet Orangutan. She looks exactly like a gorilla. Continually dumped by Otae, Kondo is at his limit and might accept the marriage. If he does, the Shinsengumi would have to respectfully call a gorilla(-like woman) “sister.” Other Shinsengumi members appear and beg desperately, but their begging is in vain, and Otae beats them up. Then, a dashing samurai comes to see Otae. His name is Kyubei Yagyu, and he is Otae`s childhood friend…

Kyubei declares that he`s going to take Otae as his wife. Shinpachi is confused by the sudden turn of events, but he remembers Otae`s tears as they separated and charges into the Yagyu mansion with Kondo! Gintoki, Kagura, Hijikata, and Okita come to help. A fierce battle against the Great Four Yagyu and Kyubei begins!!

Okita and Kagura break through the front lines and clash with Nishino, a large man who`s one of the Great Four. But Okita and Kagura are on bad terms and end up hurting each other. Kagura injures her right hand and Okita injures his right leg. The two decide to cooperate rather than lose and take on Nishino once more by piggyback! Meanwhile, a battle between Hijikata and Kitaoji begins at a dinner table. Hijikata`s sharp fighting intuition becomes a handicap. He becomes cornered by Kitaoji, who makes use of feints. But Hijikata is used to battle, and slowly he adapts himself to his opponent`s fighting style and shows his true power!!

Four Heads Are Better Than One

Upon seeing Minato`s defeat of Okita, Tojo, the leader of the Great Four, finally makes his move! Kyubei goes along with him to the battlefield. As the battle shows signs of intensifying, Kondo and Gintoki are already in terrible danger in the bathroom. They finished doing their business, but they have no toilet paper! The city is hit by a bad flu one winter day. Even Otae is sick with the flu. Shinpachi gets some long-awaited time alone with his sister and is tending to her when he gets a visit from Gintoki and Kagura. Turns out the two have also caught the flu and want Shinpachi to look after them. Irritated by Gintoki and Kagura’s abrupt visit, not to mention their selfish demands, Shinpachi is surprised when even more sick guests arrive.

Hijikata is on a stakeout near the apartment’s dumpster. There, a sleepy Gintoki comes to throw away his trash. Tama works hard everyday starting early in the morning. Even when Otose tells her to take a break, Tama won’t and says she is happy just being with everyone. The Chosen Idiots

Gintoki and the gang arrive at Tama’s main system. The group tries to devise a battle strategy for fighting the Great Archfiend Tapir’s black body suit minions. But they can’t come to an agreement. Deciding it’s a waste of time, Kagura charges alone into the swarm of black body suits. Using this as a diversion, the group storms the enemy base, only to be surrounded after Gintoki and the Leukocyte King get into an argument. But during their rumble to decide who’s the strongest, the two wind up destroying the black body suit minions. And finally, the Great Archfiend Tapir appears!

At last, Gintoki and his friends confront the Great Archfiend. While the Leukocyte King can’t lay a finger on the Great Archfiend who has taken Tama’s form, Gintoki attacks without giving a damn. Angered by his reckless impudence, the Leukocyte King turns on Gintoki. The Great Archfiend then takes the form of the Leukocyte King’s father. But this time Shinpachi and Kagura attack him, and they succeed in kicking him off the throne. The Odd Jobs trio takes this chance to finish the Great Archfiend off, but...

They manage to hide themselves from several visitors, but they are spotted by the man who’ll cause the biggest mess of all: Katsura! Part B Gintoki’s alarm goes off, and he decides to takes a shower to sober up. While in the shower, something happens to Gintoki! Seems Kagura and Shinpachi are also caught up in the mess, and they wonder how this could have happened to them... The three heroes face a crisis like none other!

A man called Executioner Kohei is brought under strict guard to the Shinsengumi. He is the executive officer of the Radical Joi Faction, the Akatsuki Party, and is also a lethal murderer who has killed 35 bakufu officials. According to Kondo, Kohei not only endures torture, but laughs with joy during it. The Shinsengumi’s mission is to get Kohei to tell them details about the large-scale terrorist attack the Akatsuki Party is supposedly planning. First off is Yamazaki, who goes to the investigation room to take a stab at it! Will he be able to get Kohei to talk?!

Part A “It`s What`s On The Inside That Counts" While taking Sadaharu out for a walk, Gintoki runs into Katsura who is with some “thing” that hardly resembles Elizabeth. Shinpachi and Kagura also notice the change in Elizabeth, or more like being totally replaced, and decide to bring Katsura back to his senses. Part B “It`s What`s On The Inside That Counts, But Only To A Certain Extent” It is morning and Gintoki wakes up in his closet for some reason. Dumbfounded, he makes his way to his bedroom after going to the bathroom, only to find himself already sleeping in his bed. Realizing that something funny is happening to him yet again, he tries to resolve it through trial and error.

The Odd Jobs Trio are wrapping up a case and waiting for the elevator inside a skyscraper at night. The client is the president of a huge corporation, and the gang receives a handsome reward. It’s their first huge cash haul in a while, so Gintoki and the gang decide to celebrate by having yakiniku (barbeque). As they excitedly discuss which place they should go to, the elevator arrives. But just when they get on, trouble occurs.

People Of All Ages Hate The Dentist!

Gintoki’s mouth is swollen like crazy, forcing him to go to the dentist for treatment. Unable to cope with the stress and pressure of waiting, a crazed Gintoki screams for someone to just kill him and be done with it. After getting scolded by the staff, Gintoki waits for his turn when another man with a swollen mouth comes in, making things even more complicated!

Gintoki and the gang return to Yoshiwara at Hinowa’s request for the first time in a while. Although Hosen’s death has brought freedom to Yoshiwara, it’s also drawn the renewed interest of those who previously avoided Yoshiwara in fear of Hosen’s power. Yoshiwara is now troubled with an increased crime rate, especially illegal drug dealing. Odd Jobs are asked to capture the man responsible. The man in question is said to go by various names, titles, and even faces. The only clue available is the tattooed spider on his neck.

Gintoki and Tsukuyo infiltrate the Benigumoto, the Red Spiders, to get a lead on the man with the tattooed spider on his neck, but are discovered and quickly surrounded. The two manage to fend for themselves, when the man with the tattooed spider makes a sudden appearance and attacks Gintoki! The man then speaks as if he knows Tsukuyo. Who is this man?!

Tsukuyo falls into the hands of Jiraia, her former master, and is held captive. Meanwhile Gintoki manages to survive the attack thanks to Zenzo, and he learns about Jiraia’s past. During the Amanto attack twenty years ago, Jiraia is said to have killed his own people within the Oniwabanshu, all for the sake of his devotion to the previous shogun. In the end Jiraia himself was the one to be terminated, but he managed to escape. Now his devotion is directed toward his own creation, Tsukuyo. Jiraia’s motive is to eliminate the bond that she has come to rely upon. And he intends to achieve that goal by setting fire to Yoshiwara and burning down everything!

The More Precious The Burden, The Heavier And More Difficult It Is To Shoulder It

Gintoki strikes down Jiraia and frees Tsukuyo from his twisted web. Chiding Tsukuyo for trying to shoulder every burden herself, Gintoki goes on to say that rather than throw away your life to die beautifully, it’s far better to live and be yourself – even if your life is not a pretty one. And finally, Gintoki expresses his anger toward Jiraia for betraying his own student, despite calling himself a master.

Watch Out For A Set Of Women And A Drink

The city of Yoshiwara is making its recovery, though Tsukuyo has shut herself in her room. Hinowa asks Gintoki to help Tsukuyo have some fun for a change. It turns out that Tsukuyo is only pretending to be sleeping in her room, when in reality she is sneaking out to perform her routine patrol. The gang decides to come up with a plan to help Tsukuyo cheer up, even while working.

Screw Popularity Polls

Character popularity results are announced to celebrate Gintama’s 182nd episode! Shinpachi is alone at the café, feeling depressed after learning that he’s still in 8th place in popularity, unchanged from the previous ranking. Yamazaki, who is in 9th place, drops by to say that boring characters such as they should aim to become the No. 1 steppingstone for others. For Shinpachi and Yamazaki, 8th and 9th place should hold the same meaning as 1st. But in reality Yamazaki can’t give up the hope of ranking higher, and runs off in tears. Shinpachi can do nothing but watch, when suddenly Yamazaki’s scream is heard in the distance!

Gintoki and Shinpachi start re-investigating the Rokkaku incident. Upon learning what really happened from Kamiyama, one of Okita’s subordinates, they leave to save Okita. Meanwhile, Okita is captured by Sotatsu Tendo after falling into his trap involving Kirie. Tendo babbles on about how he returned to seek revenge against Okita, who destroyed the Sokai Faction, and goes on to reveal the truth about Kirie’s father.

An Observation Journal Should Be Seen Through To The Very End

Students at a temple school share their independent research projects completed during the past summer vacation. After one of the students finishes reading a well-written journal, the last one to present is a kid named Daigoro. Sleeping in on the first day of summer vacation, Daigoro arrived late at the radio exercises and met Madao, and decided to keep an observation journal about him.

An old man living in a broken-down home is interviewed by a man who says he is a journalist for the Ooedo newspaper. The interview is regarding the Antiforeigner War. More than twenty years ago, the Antiforeigner faction rose up against the sudden invasion of the Amanto. As the war continued, several young members came to distinguish themselves from the others: Kotaro Katsura, Shinsuke Takasugi, Tatsuma Sakamoto. And then there was another, who ran across the battlefield garbed in white and was feared as the white devil. / Every early morning in Kabukicho, Kagura leaves the house at top speed as soon as she hears the announcement for the radio exercise to start. Despite coming in at the very last minute to receive the attendance stamp, Kagura has perfect attendance this summer. She learns there is another boy who also has perfect attendance. The two gradually become friends, but the boy has his reasons for always coming.

When Looking For Something, Try Using Its Perspective

At a shrine in Kabukicho there exists a nesting ground for cats. The Odd Jobs gang hide themselves in the bushes to observe the stray cats feeding themselves. The cats soon run off, and a single cat enters from the Torii side. The torn ears and huge barrel-like body identify the cat as Hoichi, Kabukicho’s boss cat. The Odd Jobs were requested by the neighborhood association to capture Hoichi. Shinpachi and Kagura jump out to catch Hoichi with a net, but the cat easily escapes them. Kagura and Shinpachi ask Gintoki to help out, when they realize Gintoki has mysteriously disappeared!

Freedom Means To Live True To Yourself, Not Without Law!

Having turned into cats, Gintoki and the gang are brought to Otose snack house by Hoichi. As the cats scarf down some food, Otose warns them that if they get caught, they can never return to this town. Seems there is someone egging the townspeople to hunt and capture the town’s stray cats.

Kabukicho Stray Cat Blues

Hordes of stray cats are being caught and brought to the Planet Catnip Embassy. As the Gut Rat Gang watches over the caged cats, the king of Planet Catnip makes his appearance. But there is no news of the king coming to Edo, meaning this is a secret visit. The king reveals his reason for capturing the strays, which turns out to be utterly ridiculous. Mixed up in the king’s plot, the strays find themselves in danger when a battered Hoichi comes to their rescue!

Cooking Is About Guts

The Odd Jobs are having breakfast in the living room, though the only one gorging on egg over rice is Kagura. Turns out ever since Kagura was put in charge of cooking, it’s been egg over rice nonstop. After getting complaints from Gintoki, Kagura goes to Shinpachi’s house to vent her frustration. Otae then invites Kagura to come to a cooking class with her. The class is filled with girls wearing aprons, but amongst them are some odd faces!

Snow quietly falls over Kabukicho. The Shinsengumi receives word of anti-foreign faction members gathering at Ikezuya Inn to discuss a supposed takeover of the Terminal. As they prepare to take down the faction, Kondo entrusts his safety to Hijikata—with a booger dangling from his nose. The booger swings with every breath, and the nose is making whistling noises. Worried how it may affect the team’s morale, Hijikata makes every attempt to handle the situation before anybody notices!

Not Losing To The Rain

It’s raining in Kabukicho. As Gintoki curses the rain for going against the weather forecast, a woman comes up to offer her umbrella. Feeling bad, Gintoki declines, but the woman hands him the umbrella and tries to leave, revealing herself to be none other than Ms. Ketsuno the weather girl. Due to viewer complaints for reporting the wrong weather, she has been dropped from the show. It is said that rather than using technical data, Ms. Ketsuno reads the stars to predict the weather. However…?

Not Losing To The Wind

Weather girl Ms. Ketsuno is giving the wrong weather forecast. Turns out she comes from a line of traditional Onmyojis, and her forecast is not derived from mere fortune-telling but actually by using her Onmyoji powers. But her weather forecast is being sabotaged by someone who is unhappy with Ms. Ketsuno’s career as a weather girl despite her being an Onmyoji. Gintoki and the gang arrive at the Onmyoji mansion where they come face to face with Seimei, Ms. Ketsuno’s older brother.

Not Losing To The Storm

In order to save Ms. Ketsuno, Seimei agrees to Douman’s proposal of a Shikigami Tag-Team Mystic Death Match. Seimei arrives at the arena only to be captured by Douman, but Gintoki and the gang appears to lend a helping hand. The first match ends in a draw after both the Ketsuno and Shirino clan contestants are disqualified. After seeing how they performed in the first round, Seimei accepts Gintoki and the gang’s skills, and together they prepare for the next round.

Never Losing That Smile

Seimei takes the risk of being dismissed as lead guardian of Edo by undoing the Shikigami placed throughout the city, and fueling himself with all their power to face Douman. Their fierce magic clashes, and Douman is forced onto the defensive as Seimei’s jutsu overwhelms him. Just when the battle seems over, Douman recalls the history between his family and the Ketsun clan as repeatedly told by his father. The mystical mark spreads across Douman’s body!

Consumed by negative emotions, Douman is transformed into a giant demon. He now possesses within his body Antenmaru, a demon sealed away over a millennium ago by the desperate efforts of the Ketsuno and Shirino clans. Not even Seimei’s voice can reach to Antenmaru when Gintoki stands before him with his aura-charged wooden sword. How will Gintoki fight the great demon who has returned after a thousand years?!

Santa Claus Red Is Blood Red

Christmas is just around the corner. Kagura is ready and waiting for her present, only to have Gintoki dodge the subject at every corner. In order to cheer up Kagura, who laments that Santa has never once come to her, the gang decides to hold a Christmas party, except it is also an end-of-the-year pot-party with only a small cake. Kagura is having no fun at all, when two Santa Clauses appear before her!
