Synopsis

Austral Island is located 2,000 km south from Samoa islands. The existence of the island was removed from the official records, and Tagami Yu made a journey to search for the reason. He sailed for the island with Dr. Waive who was his father's friend, Doris who is the daughter of Dr. Waive, and Captain who is the friend of Dr. Waive. On their way to the island, GAIL, the international conglomerate, and gangster, Cougar Connection lead by Lady Lynx attacked them. They managed to arrive at the island, but suddenly a mysterious monster began to attack them. When they became ready for death, a blue giant robot appeared. It destroyed the monster and saved them. Although it was an existence far beyond human knowledge, it reminded Yu of something warm and familiar. It was Giant Gorg which is called "Messenger of the God" by the inhabitants of the island. Escaping from the attack of GAIL's assault team, Gorg guided Yu into the underworld. There, he found alien's relic and an alien who woke up after 30,000 years' sleep.

New York Suspense

Following his late father`s will, Yuu Tagami travels across the world to New York City in order to find a former student of his father`s, Dr. Wave. Upon meeting the man however, Yuu becomes entangled in a vast conspiracy to keep New Austral Island, a mysterious landmass that suddenly appeared in the South Pacific, a secret.

Westward Bound

With the GAIL corporation`s thugs closing in, Yuu and his friends turn to a man known as the Skipper for help. Unfortunately for Yuu, GAIL aren`t the only ones interested in New Austral Island.

Stormy Departure

Though the group has made it to Samoa, neither the danger nor the journey is over yet. Skipper has a plan to ride a storm into the island and past GAIL`s defenses, but GAIL and Lady Lynx`s minions aren`t giving up yet.

Encounter

Dragged into the ocean, the group nevertheless finally makes it to Austral Island, though split up. Skipper, Dr. Wave, and Doris meet the islanders who resist GAIL`s influence, while Yuu and Argos meet a new friend.

Yuu gets to know Gorg, while Rod Balboa directs the forces of GAIL to stamp out the local resistance. However, with Skipper on the guerillas` side, things don`t go so well for the soldiers.

Gorg leads the group to a place they can rest. Tensions build between Alois and Yuu when the two get lost in caves. Meanwhile, Rod becomes convinced that Yuu is somehow special.

While Yuu and his friends have been resting, GAIL has been gathering more forces to trap Gorg once and for all. Another confrontation, however, forces the group into the Dark Bay, where something else awaits.

Gorg engages in a titanic battle, the aftermath of which only deepens the mystery of Austral Island. Alois and Sara make their way back to Hotsumatsua and their people, but an old enemy shows up as well.
