Synopsis
Two months ago, Takuya Enoki's mother passed away in an accident leaving him to take care of his baby brother, Minoru, while their father works the long hours of a Japanese "salaryman". Takuya must sacrifice playtime and childhood to take care of his brother and do the responsibilities an adult would have: cooking, sewing, and scolding while trying to find it in his heart to love the brother who is causing him so much grief.

Takuya's mother dies in an accident, and he is now in charge of his little brother, Minoru. But Minoru is causing him a lot of troubles.

Minoru is getting jealous seeing the other kids with their mothers. Takuya's father organizes a picnic and invites a girl from work, but Takuya is not happy with the idea of having a second mom.

The Enoki family continues their vacation, stopping at an onsen. There, Minoru and Takuya begin to see the ghost of a little girl who died many years ago. Shortly after, Takuya is confined to bed with a high fever.

Takuya and Minoru go to a festival. There, they encounter Fuji, who was compelled by his older sibling to bring Ichika and Mabo to the festival. After being denied the masks they wanted, the three children run off.
