Synopsis

From the moment twelve-year-old Misaki Suzuhara first arrives in Tokyo to live with her aunt, she finds herself swept away by the amazing world of Angelic Layer – a fast-paced high-tech game where dolls called “Angels” are controlled by the thoughts of their operator, or “Deus”. Discovering that her new friends are as interested in Angelic Layer as she is, Misaki builds her own Angel, Hikaru, and begins competing in battles where will and determination count far more than size and strength. The competitions are going to be fierce and, with the national championships looming on the horizon, you can bet that not everyone Misaki meets will be on her side. Can Misaki handle the pressure of non-stop competition while struggling to adapt to life in an unfamiliar city?

How Do You Do? My Very Own Angel!

Misaki moves to Tokyo to live with her aunt. After getting lost at the train station she sees an Angelic Fight on a big screen. A mysterious man, Icchan, who followed her out of the train station tells her more about 'Angelic Layer' and helps her to create her own angel, Hikaru.

Do Your Best, Hikaru! It’s Your First Fight!

Misaki gets confused on her way to the first day of school when she meets Hatoko, a 5 year old girl who knows a lot about Angelic Layer, she also meets Hatoko's older brother, Kotarou and his best friend Tamayo. On her way home from school Misaki once again meets Icchan who helps her to make clothes for Hikaru and brings her to an Angelic Layer training center so she can practise movements on the Layer... However Misaki accidentally signs up for a match!

Who Are You? Misaki’s Nervous Lesson

Icchan continues teaching Misaki about Angelic Layer and helps her practice. Misaki meets Ohjiro Mihara and his angel, Wizard. Icchan gets Misaki an Angel Card and signs her up for the tournament.

The Day an Angel Flew Down

Misaki's first official tournament begins as she faces off with Angel Katalina, an Angel that uses ice skates in her special attacks. We also get to see Hatoko's famous Angel, Lightspeed Suzuka, in action.

The Tokyo Regional Qualifiers continues as Misaki fights in her second match. Hatako is disappointed in Misaki for not believing in Hikaru

The Tokyo Regional Qualifiers continue. We get to see small portions of some of Misaki's fights. Misaki ends up having to fight Hatako. Hatako asks Misaki to promise not to lose to anyone but her and meet at the Kanto Games.

The Kanto Area Qualifiers start, it is a single elimination tournament leading up to the National Games. Misaki fights in the very first match versus the idol, Ringo Seto and her Angel, Ranga.
